Right, you have stumbled over the coat that was in the yeah or neah section of the wardrobe for far to long! Its time to say goodbye to it so simply look out for one of the Salvation Army Recycle Bins and pop it in. It really is as simple as that!! If you don’t know what one of these looks like now you will have no excuse as there is an image of one below!

There are 340 Asda Stores with Salvation Army Clothing Banks ready to collect your coats.

You can also email volunteering@salvationarmy.org.uk if you are part of an organisation that can help with distribution.

As always there is a huge bunch of celebs all ready to put their weight behind a good cause or should I now say their coats! Household names such as Robbie Williams have become part of the donate a coat idea.

Gok Wan was stressing the importance that the coat doesn’t need to be fashionable, just warm, clean and in resonable condition. Over 1.2 million people over 60 in the UK agree a good coat is very important and would help them feel better.
